Engineer for Advanced Power Electronic Design Green Fuels (m/f/d) – Ref. 514

For the initiation, pre‐design, design, specification, product development for power electronic components related to WTG (Wind Turbine Generator)/WTG‐Subsystems and Green Fuel Systems we are looking for an experienced expert for our location in Rostock. This includes appropriate controls and interfaces to other WTG‐Elements, renewable plants and Green Fuel Systems.

• Introduce requirements to WTG with reference to power electronic system/electrochemical systems to Suzlon
• Keep up‐to‐date with simulation methods and approaches
• Introduce advanced control algorithms with reference to power electronic system/electrochemical systems to Suzlon
• Power system analyses and trend analyses
• Power electronic development for photovoltaic systems, energy storage solutions and hydrolysis systems

Specific tasks:

• Follow international Grid Code Development
• Follow wind power branch/Renewable energy/Green fuel developments with power electronic components and systems (for example WTG drive‐train concepts, electrolyser technologies, etc.)
• Develop appropriate models, simulations and specifications as well as appropriate control routines
• Develop efficient test routines/test benches and validation/verification approaches for new power electronic systems incl. software control routines
• Documentation of methods, approaches, solutions and results
• Saving of models and software as well as proper back‐up
• Patent monitoring and support for IP‐related questions and studies
• Idea and invention delivery especially for Strategic Patent Applications in the field of power electronics
• Good (beyond basic) management and research project leader skills

• Master/Bachelor/Diploma (or PhD) of Electrical Engineering/advanced Electro‐Chemical Engineering
• Very good knowledge of the English language verbal and in writing
• Good experience in
  • Electrical Design; testing of electrical systems/mechatronic systems/electrochemical systems & processes
  • Specification of complex Control Systems
  • Failure Analysis and Power‐Electronic System‐Understanding
  • Software Project Management
  • Experience with major simulation tools for steady state and dynamical analysis of electrical systems and networks (Matlab, SigSilent, PSCad, etc.)
• Able to work in an international team openly and with transparence
• Driving tasks independently and systematically
