Development Engineer Park Design & Modeling (m/f/d) – Ref 515

As Development Engineer Park Design & Modeling you will be accountable for designing grid compliant large power park concepts and develop simulation models.

• You will design and develop grid compliant large power park concepts and simulation models (wind, solar and energy storage), carry out simulation studies as per various grid code requirements, validate models developed internally or externally.
• You lead evidence based grid compliance of park design and perform root cause analysis of non‐compliances.
• You give your expert support to consultants and costumers during the model development process as well as the integration of the developed park model into the grid network.
• The comprehensive technical documentation of the developed models will round off your tasks.

• For this assignment you have completed your Bachelor degree in electrical or power systems engineering and have 3‐5 years of relevant experience in design, modeling and simulation studies of grid integrated large power wind & solar parks; Ph.D in engineering (electrical/power systems/power electronics/renewable energy) would be an advantage.
• Preferably you already have specialist knowledge of grid codes, park modeling and certification.
• Experience in an international working environment in multinational teams would be of an advantage. This might also require your willingness to travel worldwide temporarily.
• Simulation software like DIgSILENT power factory, PSSE; PSCAD and MATLAB are well known to you.
• You have very good analytical and communicative skills in German and English, work target-oriented and like to take initiative in a multidisciplinary team
